Rongjun is a PhD student in Human-Computer Interaction, studying how people engage with everyday technologies. Her research aims to understand how individuals adopt, adapt, and integrate technology into their daily lives. This perspective on technology appropriation has guided her work across a range of contexts, including information overload during web browsing, switching between communication channels, and gaming within households.
More recently, She has extended this lens to examine how people engage with emerging AI technologies. She explores how tools like ChatGPT are being incorporated into everyday routines, such as online information seeking, and how customizable AI systems like custom GPTs influence users’ perceptions of privacy.
